FOOD STAMP ELIGIBILITY

RESOURCES
Each household is allowed to have countable resources of around $2000, like a bank account. If a household member is disabled and/or 60 years or older, they are allowed to have $3000. Benefits from Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Supplemental Security Income (SSI), and home and lot are not counted.

INCOME
There are income tests which each household needs to meet unless their members are receiving TANF, SSI or general assistance. Gross and net income tests needs must be met. However, if a household has an elderly person or a person receiving certain types og disability payments only has to meet the net income test. If a household has an income over the amounts listed below, they will not be eligible to apply for food stamps.
